Head Start’s journey with the Child begins from the age of fifteen months and continues with him/her through what Dr. Maria Montessori calls the different planes of development.
The Early Years Programme
For children aged 15 months to 2½ years
Pre Primary Programme
For children aged 2½ to 6 years
Primary Programme
For children aged 6 to 9 years (Grades I, II and III)
Middle and High School
For children aged 9 and above (Grade IV to X)
The Early Years programme and our Pre Primary and Primary Montessori programmes are recognized and accredited by the Montessori Evaluation and Accreditation Board, UK (see list of Internationally Accredited Schools - www. montessori.org.uk).
Head Start is also a member of the Indian Montessori Centre and the Indian Institute of Montessori Studies.
Head Start Educational Academy will be offering both the ICSE and IGCSE examinations at the High School level.
NOTE
Children from our Early Years graduate to our Pre Primary Programme, thus limiting the number of new entries at the Pre Primary level. Similarly, our Pre Primary children graduate to our Primary and upwards.
There may be a slight overlap at the end of a programme. e.g. a child from The Early Years who turns 3 towards the end of an academic year (January to March) may move to our Pre Primary from the following June, the start of a new academic year. However, there are adequate, age appropriate activities and materials to take care of the child during such an additional period so that his development is dynamic and uninterrupted.
